A real taste of the past

A restaurant built on a century of history in the small town of Fornio. As you step through the entrance, the open kitchen is in full view.

Beyond the glass, you can see chef Cristina and her colleagues hard at work, bringing forgotten recipes and traditional Emilian flavours to life using seasonal and local ingredients.

The chef
Cristina Cerbi

More than 25 years' experience in the kitchen.

From her first apprenticeship in her in-laws' restaurant to managing the Osteria di Fornio alongside her husband Luca Caraffini, chef Cristina has learnt to let her unique skills and style shine.

The restaurant

A space that reflects the spirit of Cristina's cooking: thoughtful, modern and interesting. There is even an ancient stone cellar hidden away downstairs, where cured meats are hung to age, and you can enjoy a tasting.

In summer, the restaurant opens out into the countryside thanks to its two large terraces.

When are you open?
We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. We are open every other day for lunch and dinner.
